The year 2002 marked the seventy-fifth anniversary of Electro-Voice, Inc. To celebrate and commemorate this event, the company issued a jet-black version of its popular RE20 in a plush wooden box with a red interior. Vendors rose to the occasion with distinctive ads, and a good time was had by all. By mid-2004 the RE20-75SE was sold out.
